At United Home Builder, Inc., we frequently hear, “I didn’t think we could afford a custom home.” We’re proud to tell you that this is a misconception kept alive by speculative builders and some people in the real estate industry.
We are committed to working with our clients to provide a home of exceptional quality and value. To accomplish this we are very competitive with other homes in the market place.
We build an average of 12 new homes per year, not including additions and countless kitchen and bath updates. As other builders will try to make as much as possible on each home, we spread our overhead costs out over those 12 homes. When we price out a home, we take each and every cost (materials, labor, subcontractors, land, etc.) we add our overhead (insurance, salaries, utilities, etc.) and a small profit (yes, we make a profit). That is how we arrive at the cost of your new home. If and when you decide to add items during the construction process, in most cases we charge the exact item cost plus 10% for administrative fees and that is what you pay. We don’t want to build you a home that you cannot afford to close on.
Where ever we can, we will work hard to make sure you are receiving value for your hard earned money. Any of the recommended suppliers that you will visit during your selection process value our business and assist us in keeping costs low. As a design/ building firm, United Home Builders, Inc. is able to price your new home during the design phase, eliminating the problem of designing house plans that are over your budget.
